Family: a parent follows along

  • Works on Mac only

A parent can follow along with your learning. It is off until you turn it on, and you always see who is linked.

Film

Steps#

  1. Open Settings > Family and choose Turn on. It tells you what a parent will see.
  2. Add a parent by email.
  3. Your parent opens the link, signs in or makes a parent account, and links.

What a parent sees#

  • Each child's week: time, streak, tasks and topics.
  • Every lesson with its summary, the whole transcript and the replay.
  • Progress, and tasks. A parent can add tasks.
  • School papers they upload become proposed tasks for you to accept.
  • A weekly family email on Sundays.

What you see#

You always see who is linked, with a notice like "Dana can see your learning".

Children under 13#

Signing up with an under-13 birthday asks a parent first, and the parent says yes on their own page. A parent can also add a child from the family dashboard (Under 13). The parent manages the account.

Tips#

  • A parent's account opens on the family dashboard. Learn with Eddy there is their own learner app.

Limits#

  • A parent must be 18 or older.
  • Under 18, a learner can ask to unlink, and the parent decides.
